The previous mount for the new 40W solar panel on the rain gauge node was working well for a while, however in strong winds it was found to move around a small amount, meaning there was potential for this 'swaying' to make rainfall readings inaccurate. A new mounting system was needed - hence we have the below.

The panel is now mounted on a leftover piece of 40x40x2mm SHS Gal tube, with a 30 degree angle of tilt (close to latitude of Lismore, NSW). It's screwed into the panel for easy removal, and welded to the top cross member (as this gave the most rigidity)

The PVC tube extending the antenna was also painted silver - purely for aesthetics to match the rest of the steel work.
